During the filming of his award-winning documentary, Cropsey, Director Joshua Zeman begins a correspondence with Maury Terry, author of The Ultimate Evil, a book which delves into the theory that the infamous Son of Sam murders involved a nationwide satanic cult and more than one person. When Zeman and Producer Caitlin Colford receive boxes and boxes of Terry's research, the pair embark on a journey which results in the Netflix docuseries "The Sons of Sam: A Descent Into Darkness", a cautionary tale about the search for truth and the price one man pays to take that journey.
