Suspicious Minds: Todd Matthews and Chris Hensel Create "Fact-based Fiction"

What do you get when you combine a world-famous internet sleuth and a film and television producer? An all-new crime drama of course!

This is not just any crime drama, mind you. Suspicious Minds, a new series from Todd Matthews and Jeb Stuart Productions is "fact-based fiction", as Todd Matthews, co-founder of The Doe Network, likes to call it.

The series is being produced by Chris Hensel and his production company, Jeb Stuart Productions. Hensel, a veteran of stage, television and film, is most well known as the motorcycle-riding Jeb Duke, from the incredibly popular television series, The Dukes of Hazzard, which ran from 1979 to 1985 and spanned an incredible 147 episodes.

Jeb Stuart Productions, which specializes in family faith-based entertainment, currently has a number of properties, in various stages of production. Their most recent creation, Salvage Yard "Shine" Boys, is currently in post production, slated to be released sometime this year.

Many of the stories that are targeted for inclusion in Suspicious Minds were originally written by Matthews during lazy summer days and nights which he and his family spent on a houseboat, also named Suspicious Minds, which Todd purchased in 2017.

"A murder mystery love story about an eccentric backwoods family that lives on a houseboat along an infamous riverboat dock. Suspicious drownings, kidnappings and unexplained phenomenon run amuck as local law enforcement have their hands full of crazy moonshining relatives all vying for a piece of of a decease patriots final wishes."

This is how Matthews recently described the storyline of Suspicious Minds when he and Chris Hensel and I sat down recently to discuss the project on the Undoing Evil podcast.
